Zi Jing Sistsers: BIO

The zi jing sisters make a female-only murder of crow spirits.
These are fan characters for Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Each one is unique with their own personalities, facial differences and attitudes.
Their names are Chinese.

~~Zi Jing~~

Zi jing means "amethyst" in simplified Chinese, so they're the "amethyst sisters."
They go by this due to their strongly shared love and lust for amethyst crystals, which they collect at every turn.
Not only do they seek them, but they will deliberately steal them from others, pirating it even if it is someone's most prized possession.
They take the crystals and stones back to their lair in the high peaking cave of a mountain in the spirit world, where they all live together.
Why they are so drawn to the violet rocks is unclear, but it's powerful enough to drive them to steal them.
It's rumored that they themselves were born of amethyst crystals, but it's not something they talk about.

Due to their massive collection, the crow sisters tend to carry a lot of amethyst energy on them, which helps them easily locate crystals nearby.

Aside from amethyst, each sister has an interest in individual types of gems, which they keep in their own piles separate from one another.
No one, themselves included, knows why they like the other things they like.

~~What They Do~~

Besides loot amethyst, the zi jing sisters are very talented sisters, presenting themselves as a quintet and singing in show-holding places.
More often than not, their beautiful and hypnotic voices can provoke their audiences into wanting to pay them, although believe it or not, this isn't why they sing.
They sing because it's bonding and makes them happy, and they enjoy being able to share their gift.

Teamwork, teamwork, teamwork!
It's almost impossible to find a zi jing sister without her murder nearby.
They may branch off by about a mile from one another to hunt amethyst or gems they're interested in, but they do not like to get separated.
They regroup strategically and feel a sense of dependency on one another, so to be without is very stressful.
        They like to work together with one or more sisters distracting a target while the others pig pocket what they came to steal.
Distractions may include singing or straight up trying to falsely seduce the subject, though no one ever gets a lay.
As it is, the girls just don't swing with anyone; they're pretty conservative, intimately speaking.
        If you mess with one, you mess with them all!
No one is fair game in zi jing territory.
If one of them gets hurt by someone, these feathered sirens, as they're sometimes nicknamed, hold strong grudges and the moment they can pay retribution to whomever hurt them, they get right to it.
They almost always let their opponent live, so long as the injury they themselves faced wasn't serious.
Otherwise, they'll tear them apart, and they will not feel bad about it.
No one hits a zi jing girl without getting hit back harder.

~~Personal Space~~

As good as their relationships are with one another, arguments happen, and when they were younger space used to be a big problem.
They tried to live in a nest (a big one), but it wasn't sufficient.
Hence, this is why they now live in a cave on a mountain top.
It's fairly well guarded, so to speak, and hidden.
In their cave, each crow has plenty of room to live, relax, and wind down when they need to.

~~Ying~~

In all groups of some sort, there is a leader, and this one is no exception.
Ying, meaning "clever," is the ring leader, as her head is a bit more solid.
She's witty, great at problem solving and can easily map out and direct attacks or looting sprees.

Ying is generally calm, but like all of them, happy unless something makes her unhappy.
She's very observant and pays attention to incredibly small details.

Her eyes are indigo.

~~Xia~~

Xia is the brawn of the group.
If anyone of the zi jing will kill you, it's her.
Xia means "halo, a vapor," and "red sky."
This seems to fit well.

Xia is sturdy, protective, and strong.
Just because she's strong doesn't mean she's stupid, by any means, but to be fair, none of them are as observant as Ying.

Her eyes are deep red.

~~Jingfei~~

There's always one, isn't there?
Jingfei, meaning "quiet not," is the sweet but slightly unhinged sister.
She's the same age as the others, but is considered the "baby" and is most protected due to her less visibly sinister nature.
Jingfei is the spunky, excited sister who loves to fly for no reason, and is best at cheering others up.
If you make her cry, Xia will harm you physically.

Her eyes are lavender.

~~Yanmei~~

"Flattering, seductive" is a perfect way to describe her.
Yanmei isn't exactly stuck up, but she knows she isn't ugly.
She uses this to her advantage, often distracting male victims with her looks while the other girls get to work on hunting amethyst or other goodies.

Yanmei is calm, comforting, and has an alluring and intriguing nature about her.
Needless to say, a lot of people, male or female, try to get to know her.

Her eyes are light blue.

~~Meifing~~

Meifing is the group closet oddball.
"Beautiful wind" is as good an illusion as any, for this sister has a hidden dark side.
She's the one who secretly thinks about "unusual" things.
She daydreams more, and has a secret curiosity about S&M.
You read right, yes, though it's more or less something she thinks about occasionally and wonders what it would be like as opposed to being a constant horndog.
In addition to her oddity, she is attracted to knives and likes to play with them, and cut things for no reason.
Her sisters see nothing wrong with that and sometimes join her because it's fun.

Meifing is light on her feet with the best air drift of any of the girls, and enjoys flying and diving with Jingfei.
She also takes pleasure in occasionally reading or learning about new things.
The knowledge she acquires often serves useful, and she always has something to offer as a conversation piece.

Her eyes are rich violet.

~~Preference~~

They're all straight, but aren't overly interested in mating.
A lot of this comes as a result of their relationship with one another, and they all tend to gravitate toward the same male.
They're just used to it, so instead of being divided by a man or worse, risking a polygamous encounter with one, they like to gawk over one together from afar and joke and daydream about them.
This way, they all sort of get what they want and more importantly, no one can come between them.
This doesn't mean they don't all flirt, of course, but the occasion that one of them actually becomes intimate with anyone is exceedingly rare and usually has to do with alcohol, and some time away from the group.

~~Trivia~~

The zi jing sisters' eyes are either shades of purple, or colors that are required to make purple.
This comes from their amethyst roots and each eye color is significant to the crows' personalities.
